James holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from The University of Manchester and previously worked as a Research Scientist studying advanced materials and surface coatings. Since 2016, he has worked as a Technical Support for pressure sensitive adhesive materials manufacturer, Avery Dennison. In this role, he provides advice and guidance to printers, end users and brand owners interested in finding the right labelling solutions for their product or packaging. He has a particular interest in sustainable material choices and eco design, with projects aimed at reducing material usage, incorporating recycled content and ensuring packaging is recyclable.

Heidelberg UK are proud to be taking part in the upcoming BPIF Labels Technical Day where we will talk about the Gallus machine range today. The pace and constant advancement of our industry have always been a significant motivating factor for him.

First and foremost,  Barry is a problem solver. He has a wide range of knowledge. However, does not profess to know everything. In fact, worring about those who claim to do so. No matter how much he knows, every new day is an opportunity to learn something new. He hopes to always remain open to that philosophy.
