The BPIF, Oxford Brookes University, BookMachine and The Bookseller are calling for entries to the British Book Design and Production Awards 2023. These are the only industry awards to promote and celebrate the excellence and craftsmanship of the British book design and production industry.

We have launched two new categories this year: Sustainable and Innovative Books. These new categories are to celebrate UK book manufacturing and will be open to all books that are published, printed and bound in the UK.

All books published between 1 July 2022 and 7 July 2023 are eligible for entry in this year's Awards.

There is also a category for aspiring students to enter their work, with the chance to win a cheque for £500 as well as a short internship with a leading designer, publisher or printer.

Industry experts from the areas of design, publishing, production and retail will judge the entries and honour the book that outshines the rest with the title of 'Book of the Year.'

The winners will be revealed at the award ceremony on Wednesday 24 January 2023 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The deadline for entries is Friday 7 July 2023.
