In 2001 the DTI recognised that only 20% of directors and managers running the UK printing industry had received any management training. In the last three years, Vision in Print has also experienced that a lack of suitable supervisory skills are preventing companies from fully exploiting the benefits of lean manufacturing and process improvement.
