Dates released for IOSH Managing Safely course
BPIF will be running the IOSH Managing Safely course at various points throughout the year. This 5-day course, designed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is fast becoming the nationally recognised standard for a line management qualification in health & safety. It is regarded by the BPIF as the base level of knowledge on health and safety for Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, and Team Leaders.Delegates who successful complete the course will be able to deal with everyday health and safety issues competently, know their limitations, but also when and where to go to for further information if required.The course content includes Safety Management Systems, relevant legislation, active monitoring, risk assessment and risk control, common and specific hazards, and reactive monitoring.At the end of the course delegates will sit an IOSH prepared and moderated theory paper and practical assignment with successful delegates receiving an IOSH certificate.The course costs £640 VAT per delegate for BPIF Members and costs £795 VAT per delegate for Non-Members. Pay Review Data, Wage Benchmarking and Cost of Living – FEB 2024 UPDATE

Slight recovery of output and orders falls short of expectations in Q4 - confidence concerns mount in 2024

Performance in the UK's printing and printed packaging industry did improve in Q4, as far as output and orders are concerned. However, it didn't come close to what would historically be considered the seasonal norm, nor quite match the subdued expectations for Q4.
