Member seeks help with road haulage companies
A BPIF member is seeking feedback on any compensation formulae used with road haulage companies who damage product on pallets.
The company use a range of distribution providers and haulage companies, and occasionally pallets arrive damaged, or are damaged whilst unloading. The offer of compensation is always below what the price of reprinting the damaged goods is.
The discussions with the haulage companies insurance providers often prove unsuccessful, and the company are searching for feedback on what others might have agreed on a fair commercial basis.
