President to continue precedent

President to continue precedent

Gerald White, CEO Berforts Group, plans to carry on the good work that has gone before in his new role as BPIF President. Tony Garnish, Chief Executive, ASG Europe, and previous President recently stepped down. He commented that, "serving the Federation for almost three years has been an honour and a pleasure. But, now is a good time for this change, as Charles Jarrold will be taking over in January. The Management team and Board members are now very strong and ready to deliver the next phase of development, and I wish Gerald the best of luck in the role."

Gerald White has been involved in the printing industry since 1992 running SME companies in the commercial, DM, book and journal sectors. He previously trained as an accountant but left the profession to further his career in the manufacturing sector and was the Financial Director of a PLC defence company based in Suffolk before settling on a career in the printing sector.

Gerald is the CEO of Berforts which has businesses in Hastings, Stevenage, Eynsham and Kings Lynn. His experience is in general management allied with strong financial discipline and he understands that to survive you must meet your customers requirements.

He comments, "I am excited about taking on the role of BPIF President. This is a period of change for the industry and the BPIF, and I feel I can add value by encouraging an understanding of the views and problems of member companies of all sizes. The important thing is to continue the good work that has gone before. Kathy had such a positive impact on the BPIF as an organisation, and we need to ensure this momentum is kept going. I hope to be able to assist the new CEO in delivering to our members an excellent service".
