Fiona Morris's work for The Printing Charity recognised

The Printing Charity, a national charity for the UK printing, publishing, graphic arts and allied trades, presented Fiona Morris, one of its Trustees, with a Pro Merito Award at its 185th Annual Luncheon at Stationers’ Hall, London, on 8 November.

A Trustee since 2004, Fiona is a member of the charity’s Investment Committee and was also Deputy Chairman for four years.

She led on the charity’s two-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with City University’s Cass Business School, the first of its kind with a charity, which resulted in the charity’s adopting best practice from the commercial sector and developing a customer-focused range of services.

Fiona’s impressive career in the industry includes over 30 years of commercial, operational and business continuity experience.  She held six Directorships for Guardian Newspapers, including Business Projects, Facilities Management and IT. She was the first female Production Director and the first female Managing Director of a press centre responsible for printing and distributing two national newspapers.

Fiona Morris said: "I am delighted to accept the Pro Merito Award and would like to thank all the staff and Trustees who have worked so tirelessly with me to ensure that The Printing Charity is able to face the challenges of the 21st century."

Stephen Gilbert, Chief Executive of The Printing Charity, added: “The charity’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously to present the award in recognition of Fiona’s dedicated work for The Printing Charity during the past eight years.”

Fiona is also the Deputy Chairman of Shoreham Port Authority and a Non-Executive Director of Sussex Port Forwarding.
