Kathy Woodward has taken over as BPIF Chief Executive

Kathy Woodward started her new role as BPIF Chief Executive last week. Taking over from Michael Johnson on 1 June, Kathy is delighted to be commencing the job she was appointed to at the end of last year.

Kathy brings with her a wealth of experience in print. Her first foray into the industry was with British Newspaper Printing Corporation, from where she went on to become Development Director at British Printing Corporation. She later moved to Astron as Group Operations Director. A spell outside the industry more recently as CEO of Foneback plc provided her with crucial experience of multimedia marketing. Kathy has a passion of developing the skills and talents of people, and was able to bring her expertise in this area to the BPIF as Chair of BPIF Training Ltd. She also sits on the board of Instructus, an accreditation and professional training body.

Kathy Woodward says, "Having run the BPIF’s training arm for two years now, I am no stranger to the BPIF, and having been CEO-designate since Christmas I have taken the opportunity to talk to staff and members of the BPIF and develop my thoughts on the way forward. I am eagerly looking forward to leading the BPIF at this critical time and there are many exciting opportunities and challenges ahead of us. I am looking forward to working with members and the very talented BPIF team to create high-quality, relevant business services that will support our eighteen hundred plus company membership in this challenging economic climate as they strive to create strong and sustainable business."
