BPIF launch Technical Compliance Certificate for Process Colour Management

BPIF launch Technical Compliance Certificate for Process Colour Management

The BPIF are holding two colour seminars to highlight the financial savings associated with colour management. All BPIF member companies in attendance will be eligible for a 50% saving off the full price of a new BPIF Technical Compliance Certificate in Process Colour Management.

In conjunction with GMG and Sun Chemical, the seminars will discuss the importance of colour control and de-mystify associated complex terminology and standards. The seminars are free to attend and delegates will receive a wealth of benefits including a complimentary health check to identify potential savings, a free print test* to check how their printing stands up to 12647 standards and half-price certification.

The certificate is designed to raise the colour bar for the printing industry, specifically SMEs who aspire to achieve the BPIF ISO 12647 standard. BPIF Consultancy Services Director, Phil Pateman says "The BPIF are wholly committed to providing sustainable colour management schemes that reach out to everyone within the printing industry. Those that have achieved certification are benefitting significantly from enhanced printing through demonstrable ISO colour standards whilst at the same time enjoying significant benefits through improved productivity by reducing make ready times, paper, ink and consumables wastage.

By attaining the BPIF Technical Compliance Certificate in Process Colour Management, printers will able to take advantage of those benefits as they will have had to undertake a BPIF print test audit which will be measured using the same equipment and exacting sampling process and standards required if being independently audited for ISO certification".

Full price for certification is £1,995 plus VAT, with an annual renewal fee of £600 which will require an audit to confirm compliance has been maintained. Printers attending the seminar will be entitled to a discount of nearly £1,000 off certification if they sign up to the scheme within 7 days of attendance.

The seminars will be taking place on 15th October at Epson (UK) Ltd's offices in Hemel Hempstead, and 5th November at Weetwood Hall Hotel in Leeds. For full information and to book your place at a seminar visit www.britishprint.com/colourseminar. *The first 30 delegate companies for each seminar will receive a free print test.
