BPIF Level 5 Graduate awarded first inaugural Kathy Woodward Award for Learning

BPIF Level 5 Graduate awarded first inaugural Kathy Woodward Award for Learning

The BPIF are delighted to announce that the first Kathy Woodward Award for Learning was awarded to Chris Pinborough, Manufacturing Manager at Ancient House Press Plc on 10th September at the BPIF offices in London by BPIF CEO, Charles Jarrold, and Webmart representative, Rebecca Lambrianou.

Launched in July in memory of the BPIF's much loved CEO, Kathy Woodward, who sadly passed away a year previously, the £1,000 Award - sponsored by Webmart - will support individuals in the print, packaging and graphic design industries to further their careers.

Recent BPIF Level 5 Management Programme Graduate, Chris, said "I feel incredibly humble and proud to have won. Kathy was a true ambassador for print, her philosophy to develop staff for the future is something I aim to achieve at a more local level.

I plan to invest the money on my fees for the BPIF MSc Management course which starts in October, a course I am very much looking forward to. The Level 5 Management Programme was such a success and I am sure this course will continue in the same vein.

I would like to thank Ursula, Charles and the team at the BPIF and of course Simon and Rebecca from Webmart. Also a special mention to the BPIF's Dominic Wing, who has been a great support throughout my development."

Award sponsor, Simon Biltcliffe congratulated Chris, saying, "Chris had shown a lifelong appetite to invest his time and money in self-development. Such a desire to progress and improve is commendable and it is fantastic to be involved with supporting talent within our industry."

Charles Jarrold said, "Kathy Woodward's passion was training and the development of people into the best they can be. It is very fitting that this award goes to Chris, whose application showed his obvious ambition and determination to continue learning throughout his career. We wish him all the best with his MSc Management course."
