Leicester based companies help Children in Need

BPIF members Tudor Bookbinding and Chartwell Press have both been involved in a good deed for Children in Need by printing and binding a book commissioned by Radio Leicester with all proceeds going to charity.

Chartwell Press, based on Hamilton Business Park, printed 2000 books which were then bound by Tudor Bookbinding in Wigston. Local BBC Leicester radio presenter, Helen McCarthy, visited Tudor to watch the first batch being bound during a tour of the facility and took a box of books to be sold immediately.

Tudor, run by Ian and Lynne Chamberlain, started in Leicester in 1992 is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. They moved to Wigston to allow the Company growth and want to involve its customers further with them also visiting the site - all of which helps improve the service.

Chartwell Press Production Manager John Collins said, "Tudor Rose Publishing recommended us to BBC Radio Leicester for the job and considering the tight deadline, it went very well with Children in Need being very happy."

Dawn Reid, BPIF Regional Director for the Midland area, said, "What a lovely venture to be involved in and all for a good cause. The book is called ‘Food Friday' for those who wish to donate £7.50 to the charitable cause."
