BPIF’s Membership Director, Dale Wallis becomes Intergraf’s new Steering Committee Chair
Having been in the Printing Industry since the age of 17, when he started as an apprentice engineer, manufacturing newspaper and magazine printing presses for GOSS International. Dale joined the BPIF in 2002 and became Membership Director in 2006.
Dale started working with Intergraf in 2002 where he joined their Environmental Working Party, and from there became a member of the Steering Committee in 2013. The Steering Committee play a crucial role in Intergraf's work, by putting into practice strategic decisions made by the Board such as implementing new legislation and supporting members.
Dale commented on his new position saying, "Now as the Chairman of the Steering Committee I would like to take that to a new level. Working more collaboratively through the exchange of information and networking, and working more closely on European projects so the best practice in individual countries becomes European best practice to support members in printing, packaging and security products.
"During my time as Chairman I would like to see a blueprint for future skills for the industry, and a project to provide a toolbox of ideas, collateral and support mechanisms to encourage young people into our industry. I am sure that with the wealth of experience and enthusiasm in the Steering Committee we can develop something great between us, which will support our members in the foreseeable future."
