New Managing Director for Plastic Card Services
Plastic Card Services is delighted to announce that Adam Unsworth has become the new managing Director of the company. Current managing Director Rob Nicholls has taken the decision to step down from the role and focus on new projects, although will remain as joint owner of the company with Tim Holt.
Rob Nicholls commented "As the 25th anniversary of Plastic Card Services Limited approaches, I feel it is a natural and very positive progression to resign from position of Managing Director and hand over the operation reins to Adam Unsworth. Adam started with us as a graduate sales trainee 16 years ago and has progressed through our business to the position of Sales Director. The transition of becoming Managing Director of the company has been carefully planned and developed over the last 18 months to the extent that Adam will take over the role of fully functioning Managing Director from the end of September.
It has been quite a journey over the past 25 years of both learning, development and also challenging market environments, but it has felt a great pleasure and with a sense of pride to have been working with the individuals, companies and brands that we have over the course of those years.
It is a time of change and fantastic opportunities, and with the latest investments in the very best in loyalty card technology PCS is in prime position to drive forward the business, supporting existing and new card schemes with creativity and technological excellence. I remain with Tim Holt as joint owner of the business and will continue to be involved in specialised card projects and to provide executive mentoring support."
Adam Unsworth added "Naturally I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to pick up where Rob has left off, and feel my 16 years with the Company have given me invaluable experience and technical knowledge putting me in an excellent position to drive the business forward in 2017 and beyond.
It has been an honour to have learnt from Rob and Tim who have been at the helm for the last 25 years and I've been fortunate enough to work with some fantastic clients over the last 16 years and I will still very much maintain that client facing role moving forward. Likewise, I have every confidence in the superb team around me to help take PCS forward and build on the successes we have achieved in the last 25 years."

22 February 2024
Performance in the UK's printing and printed packaging industry did improve in Q4, as far as output and orders are concerned. However, it didn't come close to what would historically be considered the seasonal norm, nor quite match the subdued expectations for Q4.
