NHS procurement event - sign up to find out about tenders

The NHS Supply Chain is holding two conferences in February. The conferences will provide an introduction to two new systems which they are introducing (Intenda for Sourcing and Contract Management and NHS-Cat) as well as update you on the 2008 Procurement Work Plan and communicate key development within NHS Supply Chain.

The dates and venue are: 19th February 2008 - Craiglands Hotel, Leeds; 22nd February 2008 - Copthorne Merry Hill Hotel, Birmingham and they will run from 09.30am until 4.30pm.

The event will be attended by key members of from NHS Supply Chain Procurement and IT teams. You will also be able to find out more about the NHS e-Enablement strategy and the introduction of the new GS1 data standards for all companies who supply the NHS.

Intenda

The Intenda Solution Suite (ISS) is the NHS' new sourcing and contract management system, providing a single integrated approach to tendering and contract management, and a mechanism for managing changes throughout the contract lifespan. All new tendering activity will be managed by this system from March 2008 when ISS is launched.

NHS CAT

NHS Supply Chain has launched a new online catalogue powered by @UK plc, enabling NHS customers to order all 500,000 in-scope products via NHS Supply Chain's online ordering system, NHS Supply Chain OnLine. At the conference they will provide demonstrations of how the new ordering system will benefit both trusts and suppliers and describe how the new catalogue supports the delivery of the NHS eEnablement strategy, including the adoption of GS1 data standards, recommended by the NHS' Coding for Success policy.
