Royal Mail's MarketReach are dedicated to helping advertisers, agencies and print channel partners to use mail successfully across every sector, audience and mail type.

They do this by supporting clients to ensure they achieve the best use of mail and door drops.

Even though they're a media owner, MarketReach is a unique specialist unit and position themselves alongside Thinkbox, RAB and IAB.

This workshop aims to enable delegates to understand the most up to date direct mail best practice ideas and to forensically explore creative opportunities. It will introduce delegates to a number of tools and insights to enable richer conversations with clients, adding more consultative value.

  • Mail and Digital - How the combination of mail and email is greater than the sum of the parts
  • The Private Life of Mail - Combining ethnographic and neurological research to understand the role of mail in modern lives


10:40 - 11:10 - Eye Tracking - Media Specialist

  • How consumers interact and deal with direct mail
  • Best practice pack design


11:10 - 12:15 - Through the Mail Box - Creative review of competitor mail packs 

  • Interactive review of agreed acquisition / CRM mail packs
  • Open discussion on what works, what doesn't and what can be adopted/adapted to improve current practice
  • Using an on-line eye tacking analysis system to identify which elements of your current mail pieces grab the reader's attention during the critical first few seconds
  • Review findings
